Horror Writer Spotlight: C.W. LaSart

Here at Bloody Bookish we believe writers are real life superheros.

And horror writers? Another breed entirely.

Our Horror Writer Superhero Spotlight shines the spotlight squarely on the twisted minds who bring you dark literature in all its dastardly forms.

Today’s spotlight shines on C.W. LaSart. Find out why she likes to bring one’s inner demons to light…

Q: What is the name of your alter ego?
A: C.W. LaSart

Q: Who or what is your nemesis?
A: Editors. All editors. (Also my best allies. It’s a complex relationship.) Also a Canadian named Axel.

Q: What would be a fitting name for your sidekick?
A: I do not play well with others. Maybe MUSE, but I fight with her too.

Q: If you could (or do) have superpowers, describe them.
A: I have the power to make my loved ones scratch their heads and say “Really? Where do you come up with this? WHY do you come up with this? Was it something that happened when you were little?”

Q: How would you conquer the forces of good/evil (depending on your Superhero’s moral affiliation).
A: By revealing the inner darkness within us all. Bringing our demons to light.

Q: What would be your ultimate downfall?
A: Chocolate. Definitely chocolate.

Love your superpower. I think my family plays Lois Lane to my Clark Kent. They know something’s going on, but they prefer to still think of me as innocent.
